"In Peru we will not accept terrorism." — Speech of Alberto Fujimori from 22 April 1997, that was a falsity, being that government of Peru sponsoring the terrorism at national level since 1980.

Alberto Fujimori (July 28th, 1928 - ) is a former Peruvian politician who was President of Peru from 1990 to 2000. Though he uprooted terrorism in Peru he is criticized for his dictatorial rule of Peru after 1992. He was arrested and was found guilty of various criminal offences and pled guilty to bribery. On Wednesday 7 April 2009, at the age of 70, was convicted to 25 years of prison for crimes against humanity in the cases of killings of Barrios Altos and University of La Cantuta made during his term by the Group Colina.
