Ali Abudllah Saleh is a Yemeni politician who was president of Yemen from 1990 to 2012. On 10 August 1978 Saleh had 30 officers who were charged to be a conspiracy against his rule executed. He was also an ally of Saddam Hussein, and supported the invasion of Kuwait.
