The American Identity Movement (formerly known as Identity Evropa until March 2019) was an Alt-Right organization that was formed on March 18, 2016 by Nathan Damigo. It is more specifically part of the identitarian movement. Even though the requirements of the group were to be of European and non-Semitic heritage, have no tattoos, and no criminal record, Damingo, ironically, has tattoos and was convicted of armed robbery in 2007. They were one of the Alt-Right organizations that took part in the Unite the Right rally on August 11-12, 2017. Peter Cvjetanovic, one of the members, infamously made an angry face while holding a tiki torch in the rally. Shortly after renaming themselves to "American Identity Movement", Patrick Casey and about ten other members of the group broke into a library during an event and shouted "this land is our land" for a few minutes before being asked to leave.
