Amon Paul Carlock was a criminal. He was born Nov. 29, 1949, in Springfield, the son of Amon Paul and Dolores I. Cearlock Carlock Sr. He married Mary Andreatta on Aug. 27, 1988. Mr. Carlock was preceded by his parents, Amon Paul Carlock Sr. and Dolores I. Gwin; and his grandmother, Frances McCarty.
Mr. Carlock was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.
He is survived by Mary; a son, Todd Carlock of Lebanon; a daughter, Amber Carlock of Lebanon; his siblings, Pam (husband, Tom) Marsh of Springfield, Dan (wife, Dione) Carlock of Phoenix, John (wife, Lori) Gwin of Springfield and Celeste Usher of Springfield; an uncle, Bill (wife, Sharon) McCarty of Virden; and several nieces and nephews.
Private family services were held with Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home handling arrangements. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Buckhart. The family requests no flowers be sent, but memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Children's Hospital or any charity of choice.
Amon Paul Carlock Jr., 57, of Springfield passed away Friday, Nov. 16, 2007, at St. John's Hospital.
