Andréia Freitas de Oliveira is a Brazilian child abusing mother who beat her three-year-old son, Gael de Farias to death in her apartment's kitchen on May 10, 2021. She was charged on Thursday with the intentional homicide of Gael, who was later rushed to a local hospital (eventually declared dead). Doctors said that he had suffered a fractured skull and broken neck. Police say that Andréia had also tried to kill herself after murdering Gael by locking herself in a bathroom, slitting her wrists and drinking house cleaning liquids. She luckily survived after her husband, Felipe de Farias saved her, but tried to kill him as well until the São Paulo Police came to arrive and arrest her. Andréia is currently serving 20 years in prison.
