Benjamin Tillman was the father of Heartland deceit (1867 to 1968). This was a man who outright called for non-whites (contrary to popular belief, it wasn't just black people) to be indiscriminately murdered until they were "kept in their place."
Real-life Villains gets it right. Racists by far tend to be acting only on fear. But it wasn't the case with Tillman. Tillman deliberately plotted this.
