Bestiality is the desire to have sex with non-human animals, it is widely considered a form of animal abuse. Many would consider it one of the most disturbing forms of perversion, though less common than necrophilia or [[Pedophilia|pedophilia]]. This act is mentioned in the bible, which prohibits this act.

Though bestiality is often used interchangeably with [[zoophilia]], they are technically not the same. Zoophilia is usually described as being attracted to animals, whereas bestiality is usually described as the act of intercourse with the animal itself.
