'''Brandon Astor Jones '''(February 13, 1943 – February 3, 2016) was an American man who was executed in 2016 for fatally shooting Roger Dennis Tackett during an armed robbery.

Brandon Astor Jones, along with [[Van Roosevelt Solomon]], robbed a convenience store in Georgia in 1979. The manager, Roger Tackett, was shot five times by Solomon and Jones to try and make him tell where the money was. Tackett died.

Jones and Solomon were both sentenced to death, but a judge ordered him to be re-sentenced because of a prosecution error. He was re-sentenced in 1997, and the appeals process lasted until 2016. Jones was executed by lethal injection in February 2016.
