==Incident== At 11:45 on 20 April 2020, police were called to a woman's home after she was heard being assaulted by her partner, Brandon Wallace. When the police attempted to subdue Wallace, he told them he had COVID-19 and spat at them before being subdued and handcuffed, later admitting he was not in fact infected. After being charged with assault, he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to six months in prison. Police warned that this was a likely outcome for any others accused of domestic violence or targeting police officers during the pandemic.
