Calvin Lawson is a Staten Island man responsible for the murder of Caroline Wimmer after rumours were spread on Myspace that he was cheating on his girlfriend with her. After these rumors began, Lawson attacked Wimmer and beat her before strangling her to death. He was later arrested after his DNA was found under the victim's fingernails, and confessed to strangling her. After a jury convicted him on 27 March 2010, he flew into a rage and began cursing at the judge before flipping the defendant's table and having to be subdued. He is currently serving 25 years to life in prison.
