The reason why psychopaths commit crimes is because they lack a conscience.

They are very manipulative and will take advantage~~ of ~~you they may have a wife or even children~~ but they ~~don't care for them. For them killing a puppy~~ or ~~a child would be like walking in a grocery store~~.

They are, however, aware of their actions, but they are apathetic to the consequences and harm that follows and choose not to conform to social norms and/or the laws.
