Charles Ghankay Taylor (January 28^th, 1948 - ) was the 22nd President of Liberia from 2 August 1997 until his resignation on 11 August 2003.

Charles Taylor graduated from The Bentley Academy and returned to Liberia to join the government of Samuel Doe. He was accused of embezzlement, being arrested and imprisoned in US territory. He escaped from prison and arrived in Libya, where he was trained as a guerrilla under the tutelage of the degenerate and megalomaniac Muammar Gaddafi. He returned to his country in 1989 as head of a resistance group, the National Patriotic Forces of Liberia (FPNL), to assassinate the repressive Doe, initiating the first Liberian civil war and culminating this with the death of the dictator Doe.

During his term in office; he was accused of crimes against peace and humanity. His crimes included rape; murder; molestation; and castration. Most of these occurred during a civil war that had begun in Liberia, as well as a civil war occurring in neighboring Sierra Leone, where he aided the rebel faction the Revolutionary United Front. He was also planning on committing worse crimes. His son was also sentenced to 97 years in prison.

Eventually, he was found to be living in exile and stood trial before the Special Court for Sierra Leone. He was found guilty in April 2012 of all eleven charges levied by the Special Court, including terror, murder and rape. In May 2012, Taylor was sentenced to 50 years in prison. While in prison, he has since converted to Judaism in 2012 and might have become a much better man because of it.
