== Trial == On July 21, 2014, Cheng was charged with four counts of murder and twenty-two counts of attempted murder. When standing on trail Cheng made no attempt to hide his lack of remorse despite knowing full well it would make his pursectors more inclined to punish him as he revealed that he'd been planning the Taipei Metro Attack since he was in the 5th grade and plainly admitted with pride that he felt no remorse for his wrong doing and was twistingly proud of it. On March 6, 2015, Cheng was found guilty and executed on May 10, 2016.
