The perpetrators, [[Eric Harris]] and [[Dylan Klebold]], killed 12 students and a teacher before turning the guns on themselves.

Columbine is considered one of the most infamous school shootings of all time, with more recent school shooters such as [[Seung-Hui Cho]], [[Adam Lanza]] and [[Nikolas Cruz]] all citing Columbine as an influence.
