The Columbine High School massacre was a school shooting and attempted bombing at Columbine High School in Columbine, Colorado on April 20, 1999. The perpetrators, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, killed 12 students and a teacher before turning the guns on themselves.
Columbine is considered one of the most infamous school shootings of all time, with more recent school shooters such as Seung-Hui Cho, Adam Lanza and Nikolas Cruz all citing Columbine as an influence.
