Corrective Rape

Corrective Rape is a controversial tool used in some African states in which a lesbian is raped by male officials to "teach" them the "proper" sexuality - it is widely condemned by many as a type of LGBT abuse but is still carried out in some areas.

The term can also be applied to acts in which government officials will rape a woman (in rare cases a man) who has herself been raped, this is not connected to the LGBT-related abuse and is usually associated with violence against women or minorities.
