== Attempted takeover of Leith == In 2012, Cobb relocated to North Dakota because of its supply of high paying jobs at oil fields and high portion of white residents. In August 2013 he moved to the very small of Leith where he purchased 13 plots of land for $500 each. He would then post an advertisement on Vanguard News Network announcing his plans to build a community based on white nationalist ideals and as he puts it "a community where you always find like minded residents." He also planned on renaming the town to "Cobbsville". His map also showed plans of his building a park dedicated to William Luther Pierce. This attracted notable members of the white power movement such as Tom Metzger, Alex Linder, April Gaede, and Jeff Schoep. Cobb had given them their own plots of land. Jeff Schoep had also brought several members of the National Socialist Movement with him, where they planned on moving the groups headquarters to Leith. The NSM had a meeting with Cobb at the town in September 2013 which gained lots of attention from news outlets as well as bringing in a large crowd of counter-protestors. Cobb became more open about his plans with him even going on local radio stations to announce it. During this time Cobb had officially moved in his first family, Kyann Dutton, a member of the National Socialist Movement along with his wife and 5 kids. Residents of Leith and surrounding communities banded together to try and stop Cobb and began fearing for their lives when Cobb was harassing and making threats to residents and posting personal information of them online. Cobbs plan also attracted filmmakers to fly out to North Dakota to document the event which would be seen in the 2015 film Welcome to Leith. In November 2013, Cobb and Kynann Dutton were filmed on video by Dutton's wife "patrolling the streets" with rifles where they are both seen making threats towards residents. Later that month Cobb and Dutton would be arrested for seven felony counts of terrorizing. Kyann Dutton would be released on bail after a month ,while Cobb would serve four months in jail. He was released after pleading guilty to one count of one count of felony terrorizing and five counts of misdemeanor, resulting in a plea deal that would give him four years of supervised probation. He would also never be allowed to own firearms or have any contact whatsoever with residents of Leith. Ironically, the video of Cobb and Dutton received negative attention from white supremacist sites with them mocking it. The site The Daily Stormer stated that "He really did make a bad impression."
