Craig Cobb
Craig Cobb (Born September 28, 1952) is an American white supremacist and neo-Nazi and is a prominent user of various white supremacist sites such as Vanguard News Network, Stormfront, and his own now defunct site, Podblanc, where he encourages and spreads hate speech and propaganda. He is best known for attempting to take over the tiny town of Leith, North Dakota (Which has only 32 residents) in 2013 to turn it into an enclave for white nationalists. He and his plan to take over Leith was the subject for the 2015 documentary Welcome to Leith. He was arrested in November 2013 and charged with seven counts of terrorizing and served four months in jail.

“ | Hey listen asshole, I'm one of the most famous racists in the world you son of a bitch! Don't fucking tempt me. | „ |
~ Craig Cobb threating a resident of Leith, North Dakota on video. |
Cobb is also a member of the Creativity movement (Formally known as The World Church of the Creator) and states that "my race is my religion". He was involved in a scandal in 2005 with the church and religion for soliciting the murder of U.S. District Court judge Joan Humphrey Lefkow's husband and mother by posting details of Lefkow's address on the internet as well as photos of her and her husband on Stormfront. While the murder was not motivated by white supremacy, many believe the killer was able to get the information from Cobb's writings. Cobb was not charged with any punishment for it.
Hilariously enough, despite being a hardcore racist, Cobb was DNA tested during his appearance on The Trisha Goddard Show and was found that he had 14% Sub-Saharan African ancestry which he dismissed as "statistical noise". After it was announced, supporters of him and other white supremacists vandalized his house, and even a rumor was started that he had committed suicide over it.
Background edit
Craig Cobb was born on September 28, 1952 to a medical doctor father while his mother was a teacher. He grew up in Missouri. He joined the millitary when he graduated from high school, although hardly anything is about his military years are known. In his young adult years he spent much of his time living in Canada and Hawaii. In 2003 he moved to Frost, West Virginia where he became an associate with the National Alliance which was at the time, the largest neo-Nazi organization in the United States. He opened up a grocery store called "Gray’s Store, Aryan Autographs and 14 Words, L.L.C." where he would promote and send out hate-filled racist propaganda to customers. He would also distribute racist "hatecore" music to elementary, middle, and high school students. In 2005 he moved to Tallinn, Estonia where he met with and befriended various Estonian neo-Nazis. He was issued a ten year ban from the country on August 25, 2009 for "endangering state security, public order, public safety, moral standards, health, other public interests", as well as for promoting racism. He was deported back to Canada, where he holds dual citizenship for.
Cobb is a prominent member on many hate filled websites. So much so that he founded his own in 2007 called Podblanc which was a video sharing service as an alternative to YouTube (Which Cobb called "JewTube") which served as an outlet for white supremacists spread propaganda. Videos of many horrific incidents were also posted such as a video of Russian neo-Nazis beheading and shooting Asian immigrants and others showing the torture of orthodox Jews and other ethnic minorities. He also would post how-to guides on how to make homemade explosives and handgun training. He posted videos of his own harassing people and asking provocative questions laced with racial slurs. One video even shows him calling a group of black people the N-word which resulted in the police getting called on him.
In 2009, Cobb came under fire when neo-Nazi Keith Luke murdered two people and raped a woman as well as injuring another in Brockton ,Massachusetts. The victims were all of Cape Verdean descent. Luke said to police that every non-white person was a problem to him, and wanted to get rid of them all. He said he was motivated after reading an article about "the demise of the white race" on Podblanc. Luke also stated that had he not been caught by police he would have shot up a Synagogue that same day.
Attempted takeover of Leith edit
In 2012, Cobb relocated to North Dakota because of its supply of high paying jobs at oil fields and high portion of white residents. In August 2013 he moved to the very small of Leith where he purchased 13 plots of land for $500 each. He would then post an advertisement on Vanguard News Network announcing his plans to build a community based on white nationalist ideals and as he puts it "a community where you always find like minded residents." He also planned on renaming the town to "Cobbsville". His map also showed plans of his building a park dedicated to William Luther Pierce. This attracted notable members of the white power movement such as Tom Metzger, Alex Linder, April Gaede, and Jeff Schoep. Cobb had given them their own plots of land. Jeff Schoep had also brought several members of the National Socialist Movement with him, where they planned on moving the groups headquarters to Leith. The NSM had a meeting with Cobb at the town in September 2013 which gained lots of attention from news outlets as well as bringing in a large crowd of counter-protestors. Cobb became more open about his plans with him even going on local radio stations to announce it. During this time Cobb had officially moved in his first family, Kyann Dutton, a member of the National Socialist Movement along with his wife and 5 kids. Residents of Leith and surrounding communities banded together to try and stop Cobb and began fearing for their lives when Cobb was harassing and making threats to residents and posting personal information of them online. Cobbs plan also attracted filmmakers to fly out to North Dakota to document the event which would be seen in the 2015 film Welcome to Leith.
In November 2013, Cobb and Kynann Dutton were filmed on video by Dutton's wife "patrolling the streets" with rifles where they are both seen making threats towards residents. Later that month Cobb and Dutton would be arrested for seven felony counts of terrorizing. Kyann Dutton would be released on bail after a month ,while Cobb would serve four months in jail. He was released after pleading guilty to one count of one count of felony terrorizing and five counts of misdemeanor, resulting in a plea deal that would give him four years of supervised probation. He would also never be allowed to own firearms or have any contact whatsoever with residents of Leith. Ironically, the video of Cobb and Dutton received negative attention from white supremacist sites with them mocking it. The site The Daily Stormer stated that "He really did make a bad impression."
