Dre is believed to be one of the accomplices of the Tupac Shakur murder. His friend, '''Keefe D''', confessed that Dre, '''Orlando Anderson''', and '''[[Terrence Brown|T-Brown]] '''were all responsible for Shakur's murder. Keefe also admitted that '''Marion "Suge" Knight '''was a target in the drive-by. Keefe admitted that he tried to hand Dre the gun, but Dre had refused. Though, Keefe has never confessed if Dre or Orlando shot Tupac.

On November 7, 2004, Dre had a heart attack in his home. He died a little while later.
