According to her, many locals are offended by homosexuality. Medley, who believes everyone is born straight, disapproves of homosexuality, saying that "life's circumstances made them choose it." She believes God created everyone equal.

Although some have interpreted her response as saying she believes gays have no purpose in life, it is interesting that she had also just clearly indicated, in a clip directly before that point, that she believes God has them, too, in her life for a reason. The clip that follows highlights what she actually seems to be disagreeing with -- that they were "born that way." She believes the only way they will make a change is if they realize they do have a choice.
