On April 20, 1999, he, along with his best friend, Eric Harris, planted two 20-pound propane bombs in the cafeteria of Columbine High School. When they did not detonate, they went to plan B with their guns and started shooting everyone.
They killed 12 students, one teacher and injured 24 others, then turned the guns on themselves.
