Earl Hicks was an accomplice of Robert Nixon. He was present at various attacks by Nixon and committed the assault on 12-year-old Marguerite Worden, although he denied sexually assaulting and killing her or killing her mother. He also assisted in the assault on Zoe Damrell and was present at the murder of Florence Johnson, with Nixon and Hicks both claiming the other had killed her. Hick's confession resulted in a prison sentence of five years to life in 1938.Stub
