After his release, he served his probation for 10 years. He than began a successful YouTube career in 2006. At some point, he moved from Florida to South Carolina. In 2007, he foolishly outed himself by stating on TV that he had moved into the state without informing anyone of his prior conviction, and thus a warrant was issued for his arrest. In 2009, the police finally acted and his computer and alcohol were confiscated from his house since he didn't inform local authorities of his criminal history. He claimed that he was afraid that neighbors would get angry due to his criminal past. During all this, police discovered a video he uploaded onto YouTube of him lip-syncing "Oh, Pretty Woman" by Roy Orbison (1963). Instead of being sent back to prison, Muscare was put back on probation for violating the law by not informing the state of his conviction and, as part of his second probation, was not allowed to have a computer without permission. He relied on friends to upload videos for him, thinking it wouldn't affect his probation, but it did, resulting in his next arrest in 2010. He was sentenced to 5 years in prison, but died of lung cancer two years in at the age of 79.
