During his struggle with the Lithuanian Armed Forces and units of the Saxon volunteers, he was led. Later he was the Chief of Staff of the Soviet Russian Army Brigade and Division. After graduating from the Military Academy he served in the Soviet Army Cavalry. 1935-40 taught at M. Frunze in Moscow, 1943-54 at K. Voroshilov Military Academy; assistant professor (1940).
