Female genital mutilation (FGM), also known as female genital cutting and female circumcision, is a torture method that involvds the removal of female genitals. This method can be found in the Middle East, parts of Africa and some parts of Asia. The international community has called for the end of the torture method as it does not have health benefits and can lead to death.
