Gavrillo Princip (July 25th, 1894 - April 28th, 1918) was a member of the Black Hand gang and a serbian murderer who planned to murder Archduke Franz Ferdinand. After some other failed attempts Princip finished the job by jumping in front of the car Ferdinand was in and fired two shots killing not only Ferdinand but also his wife. This was one the events leading to World War I. Princip was sentenced to life imprisonment and died in prison of malnutrition, blood loss from his amputated arm and Tubercilosis.
