Gay Camps are a controversial tool used by the Religious and Radical Right to try and "cure" homosexuality, often through prayer or drugs - it is heavily criticised as a form of spiritual abuse and often those who clam to have been "cured" are said to have undergone brainwashing or social stigma / religious abuse that forced them to suppress their homosexuality rather than "cure" it.
