Dr. Henry Bello was a family medicine doctor based at Bronx Lebanon Hospital in New York City. He was forced to resign in 2015 amid sexual harassment allegations. He returned to the hospital on June 31, 2017, with an AR-15 assault rifle hiding beneath a lab coat he was wearing. He opened fire, murdering one person and wounding six more in his former department on the 16th floor. He then shot himself.
