James Patrick Hogan (June 27, 1941 - July 12, 2010) was a British science fiction author who was known for novels such as "Thrice Opon a Time" and "Code of the Lifemaker". However, in his later years, he became criticised for denying many serious things, such as AIDS, the Holocaust and climate change. He died of heart failure on July 12, 2010.
Villainy
He supported Peter Duesberg's hypothesis that AIDS is caused by pharmaceutical use, not HIV.
He rejected the science on climate change and ozone depletion.
He claimed that the Holocaust never happened in the manner described by mainstream historians, and even wrote an essay defending Holocaust denier Ernst Zündel.
