== Early Life ==
Ramos was the son of Miguel Ramos who worked for the NSA. In his senior year in high school, he was suspended for having a hit list with names of students on it.

== Legal Issues ==
In 2009 he found one of his classmates on Facebook and reached out to her, it first started off normal but in 2012 Ramos began sending her emails telling her to hang herself. == The Shooting ==
At 2:34 PM, Ramos entered into the Capital Gazette building with a Mossberg 500 shotgun and barricaded the rear entrance. ==Legal proceedings==
Ramos was officially charged in July 2018. He pleaded guilty but not criminally responsible due to insanity. However, he was deemed sane after an evaluation by the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. The trial was delayed several times due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. At trial, testimony was heard from survivors of the shooting and a court-appointed psychiatrist who told the court that Ramos was motivated by a fixation on revenge and had expressed regret that he had been unable to kill everyone in the building.
