In 2009 he found one of his classmates on Facebook and reached out to her, it first started off normal but in 2012 Ramos began sending her emails telling her to hang herself. At 2:34 PM, Ramos entered into the Capital Gazette building with a Mossberg 500 shotgun and barricaded the rear entrance. He then began to fire into an office and started shooting people. During a pause many people fled but Wendi Winters charged at Ramos with a trash can and a recycling bin but was shot dead by him. Police later discovered Ramos underneath a desk and took him into custody.
