Jayne Peters
Jayne Peters (c. 1955 - July 13, 2010) was the villainous mayor of Coppell, Texas who infamously killed her 19 year old daughter, Corinne Peters, as part of a murder-suicide.
The backstory of Jayne Peters revealed that she was widowed; her husband (Corrine's father) Donald Peters died of cancer back in January of 2008. It was a year later that Jayne, a contract software developer, became Coppell's mayor, succeeding Doug Stover. All the while, Jayne and Corinne's relationship began suffering following Donald's passing, as it was reported that they often engaged in arguments.
It was also revealed that Jayne and Corrine were facing financial problems, and in addition, Jayne was under suspicion regarding personal charges she put on her city issued credit card. Jayne turned heel on the morning of July 12, 2010, when she shot 19-year-old Corinne to death in the laundry room. The villainess later covered her daughter's body with a towel and placed a pillow and four teddy bears next to Corinne before leaving the house.
In the early hours of the following morning, the evil Jayne committed suicide by shooting herself in the head inside her bathroom. Prior to her suicide, Jayne placed a pair of fentanyl patches on herself and left three suicide notes, which detailed her pleas for forgiveness and to have her pets taken care of, and also suggested that dealing with the loss of her husband triggered Jayne's heel turn and violent actions.
