[[File:BBYK1aF.jpg|thumb|220x220px]] '''John Allen''' is a 78-year-old man from Wales. He was responsible for founding Bryn Alyn Community, a series of 11 children's homes in the Wrexham area. At the Bryn Alyn children's homes, many children were sexually abused by Allen, who was arrested in August 2013 as part of Operation Pallial, an investigation into child sex abuse in care homes across England and Wales. In 1995, he was convicted on six counts of child sexual abuse and sentenced to six years in prison. He was later convicted on 26 remaining counts in 2014 and received a life sentence for his crimes against children. Even more charges were later brought against him, culminating in Allen receiving a 14 and a half year sentence in January 2019.
