John Wolfgang Alexander Ausonius (born Wolfgang Alexander Zaugg) is a Swedish mass shooter and attempted serial killer. He is responsible for committing serial shootings in 1991-1992 in Sweden to immigrants and
It is revealed that Ausonius himself is an immigrant, coming from a Swiss-German family. In his childhood, he was bullied in school for being an immigrant and non-Swedish. The trauma and prolonged abuse he received in school prompted him to resort to violence and hate crimes, developing a strong hatred for Communists, Social Democrats, and especially immigrants.
He was eventually sentenced to life in prison. His infamy has inspired another Swedish man, Peter Mangs, to commit similar shootings and attacks in Sweden from 2009-2010.
