He had paranoid schizophrenic and believed that people would break into his home and had a variety of security features installed in his home. He was found guilty, but was mentally ill. He was sentenced to 30 years in prison and was incarcerated at State Correctional Institution – Laurel Highlands in Somerset Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania.
