Jonaiki Martinez-Estrella (born January 10, 1994) is a Dominican-American gang member and killer who was a member of the Dominican Trinitarios gang based in New York City. He was active on June 20, 2018 when he and thirteen others stabbed and killed 15-year-old Bronx boy Lesandro "Junior" Guzman-Feliz outside of a bodega[1].
Martinez was first jailed in a separate robbery case in April 2016 when a group of men chased a 14-year-old boy in Freeport, New York, assaulted and robbed the teen of his cell phone and wallet containing cash[2].
Martinez was jailed for the murder in June 2018 in Paterson, New Jersey and then found guilty of first-degree murder, second-degree
murder, manslaughter, gang assault, conspiracy and weapon possession in June 2019.
Jonaiki Martinez-Estrella was eventually convicted of first-degree murder with four other men in October 2019 and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole[3].
Martinez-Estrella is currently imprisoned at Elmira Correctional Facility, according to the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision website.
