Jonathan Kyle Courtney (Born 2000/2001? -) is the perpetrator of the Cary Barnes & Noble Shooting in which 2 people, a man and a woman, were injured by his attack, which involved an airsoft gun.
Courtney, a Cary resident, read about mass shootings all around the world and according to a YouTube comment, talked about committing a mass shooting on Discord prior to his attack.
Courtney is being held on a $560,000 bail and could face up to 20 years in prison.
