Joseph Barnes was a Dallas real estate agent who participated in the 2021 U.S. Capitol riots. Barnes was identified as a man wearing an dark beanie and an American flag gaiter around his neck inside the Capitol building. He was arrested shortly after his participation, facing multiple charges regarding sedition and unlawful entry.

However, it has been reported that Barnes later passed away in a motorcycle accident on June 12, 2021. He was driving recklessly when he ran a red light and got into a crash with a silver Toyota. Thankfully, the driver of the Toyota, though severly hospitalized, survived.
