I am finally ready to stop this insanity. Well, Mr. Big Brother IRS man, let's try something different; take my pound of flesh and sleep well. |Part of Stack's suicide note}} '''Andrew Joseph Stack III''', better known as '''Joseph Stack''', (August 31st, 1956 β February 18th, 2010) was an American man who crashed a plane into Building I of the Echelon office complex in Austin, Texas, United States, killing himself along with 1 employee. He did it because the IRS had closed down a company he created for not paying state taxes. On the morning of the crash, Stack posted a Microsoft Word suicide note on his website. In it, he talked about his various tax issues, his dissatisfaction with the government and a meeting he had with a poor widow who never got the pension benefits she was promised. He signed off with "The communist creed: From each according to his ability, to each according to his need. The capitalist creed: From each according to his gullibility, to each according to his greed." Shortly before the attack, Stack set fire to his house and then drove to an airport hangar he was renting, having obtained a pilot's license in 1994. He took off in his plane and collided with the IRS building about an hour later. An enormous fireball resulted, killing Stack along with an IRS manager named Vernon Hunter.
