Juan Fernando Hermosa, better known as Niño del Terror, is an Ecuadorian serial killer. He is the youngest serial killer recorded in Ecuador, with most of his crimes spanning around the age of 15. A total of 22 murders were shot to death by Hermosa, 11 of which were homosexuals. Hermosa managed to accumulate this count in a span of only four months.
For his crimes, Hermosa was sentenced to four years imprisonment, the maximum penalty allowed for a minor in Ecuador. He was later found dead. He tried to flee to Colombia, but was unsuccessful and recaptured. Hermosa was released in 1996, and was later found killed by unknown assailants on his twentieth birthday at the Aguarico River.
