[[File:Keith Allen Barton.jpg|thumb]] '''Keith Allen Barton''' is a California man who was charged with pretending to be a doctor in 2014. A court found that he had pretended to be able to cure cancer and HIV in order to trick people into giving him money, and at least one child suffering from the disease died under his care because he was only interested in the money and made no attempt to treat her. He also told a woman suffering from an auto-immune disease to have her teeth removed and then charged her more than $32,000 for an ineffective treatment called Dendritic Cellular Therapy. Barton was convicted of fraud and practicing medicine without a license and sentenced to six years in prison.
