They are allies with People Nation gangs (which they are a part of) and [[Sinaloa Cartel]] gang. == History == The Latin Kings were originally founded by Puerto Ricans who moved to Chicago in the 1950s to serve as a community organization and to defend themselves against bigotry. Despite their noble goals of empowering Latino immigrants(hence members being called "Kings" and "Queens") the organization descended into criminal behavior. In the early 1980s, Luis Felipe, aka King Blood, moved to New York but was later arrested and convicted of murder. In prison, he started a new Latin Kings branch. Unlike its Chicago forebear, the Bloodline, as this branch was known, started as a criminal gang but later attempted to reform its image to a community service organization, as the Chicago Motherland faction had once been. Afterwards, the Latin Kings spread to other US states and other countries as foreigners joined and were repatriated for their crimes. Eventually, some Latin Kings and Queens from Ecuador moved to Spain and started recruiting native Spaniards. They have taken a similar path as in New York, starting out as a criminal organization but attempting to tone down the violence, and in 2006, Catalonia recognized them as a cultural association. In 2020, the Latin Kings gained fame and notoriety for their role in defending Hispanic-owned businesses in Chicago from [[Floyd Rioters]]. == Organization == Unlike many other gangs, the Latin Kings are highly organized. Local chapters, known as tribes, are led by a First Crown, who is assisted by four officers, their titles and roles are as follows: * Second Crown- assistant * Third Crown- enforcer * Fourth Crown- secretary * Fifth Crown-treasurer Groups of tribes in are under a Crown Councillor. Each state has 6, and the Crown Council chairman is their leader. Depending on the region, he may also be the Inca, or regional leader(some regions, such as New York/New Jersey, have multiple Crown Councils). The nationwide leaders in Chicago are called coronas. Meetings and other official gang functions are similarly highly structured, and have been compared to city council meetings. == Gallery == == Relations == === Allies === * People Nation gangs, including, but not limited to: ** [[Vice Lords]] ** Black P.
