Lauren Cherie Southern (born June 16, 1995) is a Canadian white nationalist, political activist, and alt-right Youtuber who is a major proponent of white genocide conspiracy theory, and helped spread the theory. Before entering politics she attended the University of Fraser Valley to study Political Sciences before dropping out after two years. She worked for the Rebel News for a few years before quitting in March 2017. In 2015 Southern ran as a Libertarian Party candidate in the Canadian federal election. In 2021, she became a contributor for Sky News Australia.

While working at a Rebel News, Southern denied the rape culture (she claimed that there are no rape culture in the west) and she downplayed the rape victims by falsely claiming that men are raped more than women. She claimed that modern life caused people to be lazy and she said people should be more traditional. She faked her transition from female to male to "own the libs" and called transgender people mentally ill.

In February 2017, a YouTube video was uploaded by Rebel News about Southern's retelling of the Dakota Access Pipeline protests, where she downplayed the Standing Rock protestors' concerns over the pipeline and defended the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' repression against the protestors while protecting their privately owned property, which were illegally stolen from the Sioux tribe in accordance with the Treaty of Fort Laramie in 1851.

In 2017, she released with Farmlands documentary that pushes the White Genocide Conspiracy Theory that portrays white South African farmers getting attacked by Black people and Borderless where she falsely claimed about the non-white refugees and immigrants replacing western civilization.

In May 2017 Southern supported Defend Europe with Martin Sellner and Brittany Sellner, then Pettibone to attempt to obstruct the refugee ships from North Africa and NGOs in Italy. As a result, Patreon, a crowdfunding site banned her.

She and Stefan Molyneux hosted an event in Australia and New Zealand and justified the colonialism and genocide of indigenous peoples.

The Southern Poverty Law Center warned her videos could promote and inspire hate. She was banned from UK in 2018 for inciting Islamophobia and ties to White Nationalist groups.

Ironically, Southern married an Asian Australian man in 2020 and had a son with him.

Southern is also a anti-masker and antivaxxer as shown in Sky News Australia and regularly rants about the Covid restrictions. She supports the "Freedom Convoy".

In 2021, amidst the mass graves of children found in former Canadian residential schools, she denied the existence of them and dismissed them as hoax and she released a documentary titled, 'Mass Grave Hoax' with Keenan Bexte, a former Rebel News correspondent. Later, she attempted to host an event at UBC just to deny mass graves.
