===At least we're not speaking german (Phrase)=== "At least we're not speaking German" is used as a sarcastic expression by Axis sympathizers that is intended to mischaracterize the actions of Nazi Germany. This narrative minimizes or denies the Holocaust and other actions taken by Axis forces during the World War II, boiling the conflict down to simply a preference of languages. It is often used to critique what is considered a symptom of the modern global West that Nazi sympathizers believe would not exist under Nazi German rule.
