===Manosphere/MGTOW (Term)=== The Manosphere is a loosely-used term to describe of overlapping misogynist movement that became popular in the 2010s. Terms like "Alpha", "Beta", "Omega", and "Sigma"-Males were popularized in the Manosphere, where they were applied as pseudoscientific descriptors of all adult men. The Manosphere is associated with male supremacism, a cultural enforcement of traditional gender roles, and a push to blame a variety of modern societal problems on women and 2SLGTBQA+ people.Though similar problems are identified in different movements and groups underneath the broad umbrella of the Manosphere, particular movements can offer drastically different solutions to them, ranging from promoting fraternal support groups to promoting mass murders. Particularly misogynist pick up artists and men's dating coaches, MGTOW (Men Going Their Own Way), and Incels form large parts of the Manosphere. MGTOW stands for "Men Going Their Own Way", a misogynistic movement associated with the Manosphere. It advocates for "male separatism": The idea that feminism has made socializing with women harmful to men. Followers of the MGTOW movement are urged to limit, if not avoid, all contact with women, and sometimes retreat from engaging with society.
