The phrase is used to signify support for anti-modern traditionalism or esoteric fascism. It often appears alongside imagery that modern fascist movements consider to be a negative symptom of modernity, such as examples of popular media promoting cultural diversity or feminism. Conversely, it also appears alongside romanticized imagery of societies and time periods that incorporated strict gender roles, family structures, and racial hierarchies promoted as an alternative to modern society.
