'''Mary Surratt''' (1823 - July 7th, 1865) was one of the co-conspirators in the [[Assassination of Abraham Lincoln|Assassination]] of [http://real-life-heroes.wikia.com/wiki/Abraham_Lincoln Abraham Lincoln]. After [[John Wilkes Booth]] was shot and killed by [https://real-life-heroes.fandom.com/wiki/Boston_Corbett Boston Corbett], she and eight other conspirators were involved in the plot that became the focus of the grieving nation's wrath. Along with [[Lewis Powell]], [[David Herold]] and [[George Atzerodt]], she was sentenced to death by hanging on July 7, 1865. She was the first woman ever executed in the United States by the federal government, and some of her co-conspirators swore that she was innocent.
