'''Mason Campbell''' is an American school shooter who wounded two students at Berrendo Middle School in Roswell, New Mexico on January 14<sup>th</sup>, 2014. Campbell, who was twelve years old at the time of the incident, had smuggled a shotgun into the school by concealing the weapon inside of a duffel bag.   

== Pre-Shooting ==
Before the shooting, Mason told someone in a furniture store that he was going to take a stand against [[bullying]] and was tired of being shoved into the lockers. It was revealed that Mason's original plan was he was going to bring a shotgun and fire it into the ceiling to show he was serious about his bullying. 

In his diary, it was revealed that he wanted to attack his bully with a knife then slice his neck to end his suffering.

== Shooting ==
The shooting began at approximately 8:10 a.m. in the school's gymnasium while students waiting for classes to start, Mason shot once into the ceiling, once into the floor and his last shot into a crowd of students injuring a female student (Kendall Sanders) in the arm and injuring a male student (Nathaniel Tavarez) in the face. It concluded when Campbell was taken into police custody after surrendering to a staff member. Campbell is currently imprisoned in a juvinile detention facility and faces three counts of aggravated battery with a firearm.
