Matthew Alexander Falder (born November 1988) is a sexually depraved and serial blackmailer covered under anonymity who forced his victims to send degrading images of themselves like licking toilets or crimes against a third person, such as rape or assault.
One of Falder's victims was only 14 years old; Falder said online that he would "mentally kill her" and added: "I'm not sure I care if she lives or dies." Falder increased the pressure on his victims, at least four of whom tried to commit suicide. When one of his victims said he had to stop or that they would kill each other, Falder replied that the images he already had about them would be circulated on the Internet anyway. Falder said he could not be caught and said he did not care if the victims lived or died.
Falder hid behind anonymous accounts on the web and then republished the images to get a higher status on the dark web. The researchers said they "delighted" in getting the images shared on hardcore websites. The National Crime Agency (NCA) described him as "one of the most prolific and depraved criminals with those who have been found."
When was finally arrested on June 21st, 2017, the list of his charges numbered at 188 crimes against 50 victims and took 30 minutes for the court to read. It was said to sound "like a rap sheet from hell". Matthew was sentenced to 32 years in prison, but this was later reduced to 25 years. It had taken a investigation of 4 years with the combined efforts of the NCA, Homeland Security, GCHQ, Eurorpol, Australian Federal Police, New Zealand Police and Israel Police to finally put Matthew in jail.
