Mauro Agrosi was an Italian police officer who murdered his wife and daughters in November 2016. Agrosi phoned the police station where he worked and confessed to the murders, telling colleagues the door was open. Police arrived at his home in Cornigliano, Genoa to find Agrosi had shot his wife and both of their daughters, ages ten and fourteen. Agrosi, 49, had also fatally shot himself.
The case bore strong resemblance to a 2003 murder-suicide in the same area, in which a 47-year-old policeman shot his wife and two children.
